circa 1880. 28in. nitro reproved (in 2003) damascus barrels (loose, some pits), the rib engraved 'J. & W. TOLLEY. 59 NEW BOND ST. LONDON. W.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp cyl. choke in both, action incorporating Anson & Deeley patent action, patent no. 1756 of 11th May 1875, use number 3958, Westley Richards patent toplever, top of the action engraved 'UBIQUE BALL GUN', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border engraving, bright finish, 14 1/2in. pistolgrip stock (pinned at head, chequering worn smooth), including buttplate, with pistolgrip cap, fore-end with Deeley and Edge release catch (spit forward of knuckle, chequering worn smooth), weight 7lb. 4oz.
